Large White Celadon Vintage Incense Burner

A larger size incense burner, good if you usually burn a lot of incense during the course of the day; this burner is about 50 years old, or older. The size is 5.5″ in diameter, by about 3.5″ high. This is a “white” celadon incense burner, and it seems to have a small “Chinese Lion Dog” face on two sides. The Chinese Lion Dog is a mythical creature considered to be the protector of the Buddhist faith. In Japanese lore they are often paired with regal peonies or with the sacred “jewel” of Buddhism.

Signed on the bottom by “Yamaguchi”.
We ship our incense burners with pure Japanese ash, which is preferable to filling with sand or salt. The white ash has air in it, so allows the incense to burn down completely, thus none is wasted.
