Antique Meiji Sake Bottles with Box
This is a unique pair of Meiji era Sake bottles from the latter part of the 19th century. Each bottle is 4.5″ tall and 3.5″ wide, and holds a traditional amount of Sake referred to as “Ichi-Go”. The bottles are hand-painted and come with the original box from a hundred years ago.
This Sake set did not come with matching Sake cups, as Japanese often mix and match their own selection. We have three Meiji era celadon color Sake cups which we can match to the bottles. The celadon color picks up the color of the flowers on the Sake bottles.
